We collect personal details necessary to provide our classes safely and effectively, including:

• Caregiver names, email addresses, phone numbers, and LINE contact IDs.
• Child’s name and date of birth (used solely for age-appropriate curriculum planning).
• Payment records (the amount, the date, and the month it covers). We take payment by bank transfer and in cash, so we never handle or store card numbers.

• To send class schedules, weather updates, and digital mid-week materials.
• To process monthly membership tuition.
• To contact you directly in the event of illness, schedule changes, or emergencies.

We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal or contact information to third parties or marketing brokers. Data is shared strictly with secure service providers necessary to operate our studio (e.g., payment processors, LINE Official Account, Google Workspace, Google Analytics).

We publish photos from our classes on this website and on Instagram. We choose them carefully: no close-up portraits, no child's name beside a picture, and nothing that we pass to other websites or sell to anyone. Where a child's face is easily recognizable in a photo we want to use, we blur it before it goes anywhere. A face that is already partly hidden, turned away, or covered by the child's own hands, we leave as it is. If you find a picture of your child that we missed, tell us and we will blur it or take it down, usually within a couple of days. We do this partly so that our families are harder to identify online, and partly to limit what automated image collection and AI systems can take from us. You choose what we may use at enrollment, and you can change your mind at any time.

If you end your membership with Birdsong Kyoto, your personal contact information will be safely removed from our active communication registries upon request.

This website uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages families actually read. It sets a cookie in your browser and records things like the page you arrived on, roughly which part of the world you are in, and whether you finished booking a trial class. It does not tell us who you are, and nothing you type into the booking form (your name, your email, your child's details) is ever sent to Google.

If you would rather not be counted, most browsers can block these cookies, and Google offers an opt-out add-on. Blocking it changes nothing about how this site works for you.
